BEXLEY POLICE CITATION STUDY
AUGUST 13, 2021Over the past 9 months, Bexley Residents Against Institutional Racism’s Police Accountability Group has collected and analyzed traffic citation data given to us via public records requests by the Bexley Police Department. Attached is the document which shows our findings. We want you to know that we have found strong evidence of racial profiling in our community. We want you to know that this data represents inequities that don’t have to exist if we choose to do something about it. We want you to know that this data tells a very human story about what it means to be Black in and traveling through Bexley.
